A theater creating new Slovenian audiences today
Mladinsko offers innovative theater in order to make theater more accessible and relevant to today. Many theaters today are concerned about the dwindling number of audience members, Mladinsko however is actively working to ensure a audience for tomorrow. Mladinsko successfully achieves this by de-formalizing the theater experience and producing shows suitable for different ages while including many mediums of media in their shows including videos dance and song. One example i recently took part in was a show performed in a sushi style restaurant were audience had food prepared by actors who also sang and acted throughout . Mladinsko can be considered a visionary of how theater can be current and progressive. The Theater has three stages; two housed in a great example of Slovene architect Ple?nik’s work. Subtitles for shows can be prearranged. Mladinsko can be difficult to locate so a check of the map may be needed before embarking, however it is worthy of this search.
